Meet Fabiana

Fabiana Mello is a municipal finance executive, CPA, and transformation coach with more than 20 years of experience spanning public and forensic accounting and more than a decade serving in municipal government.

Her career has placed her inside the realities of public leadership—managing public resources, navigating complex regulatory environments, leading teams through change, advising decision-makers, and carrying responsibility in systems where accountability, trust, and transparency matter.

But her work eventually led her beyond the technical side of leadership to a deeper question:

What happens inside the leader when the pressure rises?

Fabiana began studying the intersection of human behavior, relationships, emotional regulation, organizational culture, and embodied leadership. She is an Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) Health Coach and trained in Integrative Attachment Theory through the Personal Development School, with a focus on understanding the patterns that shape how people communicate, relate, respond to conflict, and create safety and trust.

Bringing these disciplines together with her lived experience as a woman leading inside government became the foundation for PowerIn™.

PowerIn™ helps women in government move from automatic reaction to conscious, regulated leadership—developing the capacity to lead themselves with greater clarity, build stronger relationships, and create healthier, more trustworthy systems.

Fabiana holds a B.S. in Accounting from Montclair State University and professional credentials including Certified Public Accountant / Certified in Financial Forensics (CPA/CFF), Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO), Registered Municipal Accountant (RMA), Certified Tax Collector (CTC), and Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA).
